Her name is Samus Aran. She joins us from the Metroid games.

Thoughts: Oh good the original Samus is still here, good thing we didn’t lose her to the power of spandex! The biggest problem I have with this design is that it doesn’t follow the Metroid Prime design changes, which added a few more lights on the legs and some other small details. But the attitude from this point is that the Metroid Prime games would be ignored because they were American made games, and first person, which isn’t very popular. I was really hoping for some Metroid Prime representation from this game when following the blog and for the longest time it seemed to never happen. Lets face it the major Non-Prime games at the time of brawl were Metroid/Metroid ZM, Metroid II RoS, Super Metroid, and Metroid Fusion. The Metroid Prime games had all 3 of the trilogy, along with Metroid Prime Hunters and the pinball spinoff.
So it’s not what Samus is at the moment, but what she isn’t, and the fact we didn’t know if she and her Zero Suit version were different characters.
